Better sleep is possible
I’m a clinical psychologist with advanced training in insomnia treatment through the University of Pennsylvania. My work is grounded in gold-standard, evidence-based care, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia, known as CBT-I, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for Insomnia, known as ACT-I. Behavioral and psychological interventions are now recommended as a first-line treatment for chronic insomnia by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Many people notice some improvement within the first eight sessions. I also work with adults navigating anxiety, stress, and life transitions—especially when these are affecting sleep or well-being.
How I Can Help
Insomnia & Poor Quality Sleep
Insomnia means ongoing difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep, or waking too early and not being able to get back to sleep, often at least three nights a week. Over time, poor sleep can drain your mood, concentration, health, and relationships, and it can start to feel like a cycle you cannot break. I work with adults who experience insomnia or unrefreshing sleep to help restore a more predictable, restful night of sleep.
Anxiety, Stress, & Life Transitions
Anxiety, stress, and life transitions can show up as persistent worry, feeling on edge, racing thoughts, irritability, or trouble concentrating—often alongside a sense that you’re carrying too much for too long. Over time, this can drain your energy, confidence, and relationships, and it can make everyday decisions feel heavier than they should. I work with adults who feel stuck in anxiety or overwhelmed by stress or change to help them regain steadiness, clarity, and a more grounded way of moving forward.
Treatment
CBT-I
Practical, evidence-based strategies that reset sleep patterns and strengthen sleep drive.
ACT-I
Skills to step out of the struggle with sleep-related thoughts and settle your attention.
Whole-person Care
When anxiety, stress, or life transitions are part of the picture, I integrate evidence-based CBT and ACT, as well as mindfulness and self-compassion techniques, to support both symptom relief and values-guided change.
